Why Is Electrolux Exploding a Bunch of Luscious Food?
Brazilian Slo-Mo Ad Promotes a Fridge Designed to Help You Eat Healthily
Editor's Pick
Electrolux in Brazil blows up a bunch of "unhealthy" foods and drinks -- like burgers, sodas and cream-filled desserts -- in mesmerizing slow motion in this spot from Brazil, but why? It's all to promote the DT52X refrigerator, marketed as the first fridge to encourage healthy eating. This Electrolux model boasts features such as a touchscreen recipe book and a "Healthy Living" app offering daily menus created by a nutritionist. There's even an intelligent recipe system that suggests meals that can be made using only the ingredients inside the fridge.
Sao Paulo agency F/Nazca Saatchi & Saatchi created the spot (which we think must have been a lot of fun to make) and it was directed by Marcio Leitao.
