Extra's video game invites you to 'get your ding back' post-lockdown

Extra gum has followed up its super-viral post-lockdown ad with a video game inviting you to "get your ding back" post-lockdown.

The Mars Wrigley brand worked once again with agency Energy BBDO to develop the game, which promises to help you with "refreshing the skills needed to socialize in 2021." What you'll need to "re-enter the world as a normal human person" includes pulling pants on as fast as possible, packing a bag, going on a romantic date and kissing your crush. There's a talking cat to give you feedback on each task. The game, which takes an hour to an hour and a half to complete, has Easter eggs for players to uncover, and there's also a prize draw to win 75 packs of Extra. It's available on mobile or desktop and can be played at getyourdingback.com.

“It is time for us to reunite with others and we’re all missing that essential ‘Ding’," said Chirag Shah, Extra senior brand manager at Mars Wrigley, in a statement. "What better way to hone those social skills, than by playing our specially created game? Extra is excited to play a role in getting people ready for socializing in person again."
