Nike : Fast is Faster

Wieden + Kennedy Portland pulls off a a football-centered, fast-paced and wonderfully shot ad that centers on the notion that 'Faster' is the new 'Stronger.' With an all-star cast, including Troy Polamalu, Calvin Johnson, Darrelle Revis, as well as NFL official Mike Carey, directed by Mark Romanek and edited by the Oscar-winning Kirk Baxter, the ad is set in the tunnel of a football stadium. If a football tunnel was white, stylish and beautiful. Clean, bright cuts abound, with occasional shots of a fast sports car, jet engines and running legs. The voiceover, meanwhile, is just as as resounding, telling you, that despite what the old tale says, "The tortoise never wins." The spot debuted during the first round of the NFL draft yesterday.
