Three months after Australia voted to legalize same sex marriage, Apple has released an iPhone X ad there that includes footage of real-life same-sex weddings.
The spot, set to an affecting cover version of "Never Tear Us Apart" by INXS, by Australian musician Courtney Barnett, shows various real life sex couples getting married. The footage was, according to the ad, "Shot on iPhone X."
In November, 61.6% of Australian voters in a national postal survey approved a change to the law to allow couples of the same sex to marry. The first gay weddings took place in mid-December.
Ben Briand at Stink Films directed the spot for TBWA Sydney.
