Back to the Future's Marty McFly is scheduled to arrive here -- in the future -- on Oct. 21. And that can only mean one thing: Brands with any kind of connection to the 1980s film franchise are going to take advantage of it.

One of first brands out of the gates is Pepsi, which today announced the arrival of "Pepsi Perfect," the soda that Mr. McFly ordered in the second film in the trilogy. The soda will be sold online in very limited quantities. Only 6,500 16.9 oz bottles in collectible cases are being made available, and they aren't cheap: Each one sells for $20.15. Get it?

As for the liquid itself, there is nothing terribly special about it. It is described as Pepsi made with real sugar.

Pepsi created a video ad for the soda (above) by Davie Brown Entertainment, with production out of Stun Creative. The ad feels every bit as '80s as the movie the inspired it, replete with big hairstyles and bombastic, robo-inspired music. It aired once this past weekend on TV during the Cartoon Network's "Adult Swim." It will only run once more on TV on Oct. 7 during "The Late Show with Stephen Colbert," according to a spokeswoman.

"The Back to the Future trilogy was as big a moment in pop culture history then as it is now, 30 years later," Lou Arbetter, senior director of marketing for PepsiCo, said in a statement. "We are excited to be part of this moment and to bring fans something only Pepsi could deliver -- and there's no need to wait -- the future is now!"
