Gu invites commuters to tweet love song lyrics for Valentine's Day digital outdoor push

Socially-driven campaign by the dessert brand targets Londoners

Dessert brand Gü is wooing commuters in London this Valentine's Day with a digital outdoor campaign that invites them to tweet love song lyrics with a twist relevant to the brand. 

Developed by digital outdoor specialists Grand Visual, the interactive drive asks Twitter users to tweet their favorite lyrics, but replacing the word “you” with “Gü.” (Think “Everything I do, I do it for Gü”, and “I’m in love with the shape of Gü”). The best tweets are being displayed on big screen at Waterloo Station today and Friday Feb. 14. Participants can also get their own personalized video, featuring their tweet playing on the big screen, to share via social media .

The activation supports a wider outdoor campaign and a limited-edition Valentine’s Day packaging campaign across the Gü cheesecake range, also featuring tweaked lyrics from famous love songs. This was originally developed by creative agency Live and Breathe.
