Jack in the Box is getting ready for spooky season with the help of some horror writers and tacos.

The fast-food chain is bringing back its Monster Tacos for Halloween, and this year customers can get Angry Monster Tacos with a spicy red shell. The ads feature dark streets with an ominous monster truck following the Jack in the Box mascot.

As part of the campaign, Jack in the Box is releasing an eight-minute horror short, “Feeding Time.” The brand enlisted the help of horror writers Asha Michelle Wilson, Kara Lee Corthron, Marcus Dunstan and Patrick Melton, who have written for “American Horror Story,” “Saw,” and “You.”

The concept of working with Hollywood writers was developed by Small Girls PR, and the execution was handled by TBWA\Chiat\Day LA.

Fans can watch the full short starting Oct. 13 on Jack in the Box’s YouTube channel and on the Bloody Disgusting website. (Bloody Disgusting is a media company that focuses on and covers the horror genre.)

The 30-second ads will run exclusively on Hulu/Huluween, while the 15-second ads will run on linear TV and streaming.
