Joe Jonas learns how to be a Bridgerton in Tanqueray and Netflix tie-up

The Diageo brand is running a social media contest in addition to spot via The Community

Diageo-owned Tanqueray is getting into bed (or should that be up a ladder?) with Netflix's "Bridgerton" for a new campaign ahead of the second series of its Regency-themed hit show. And in case that wasn't enough, it threw in Joe Jonas too. 

In a spot created via The Community, Jonas learns “how to become a Bridgerton” with the help of Jonathan Bailey, the actor who plays Anthony Bridgerton, and “Bridgerton” superfan and comedian Phoebe Robinson. The whole idea revolves around making it "T-time" (ie Tanqueray time) and drinking gin like someone in a posh costume drama.

In case you're wondering what Jonas has to do with Bridgerton, apparently people have commented on social media that he looks like he should be in the show. He camps it up gamely in the video as "Joseph Jonas the First," learning how to look fancy, sip cocktails elegantly and dance. Adriana Robles directed the video via Tool. 

A social media contest will give fans of the show a chance to win one of three “Bridgerton”-inspired experiences. They'll need to showcase on social how they "#makeitTtime" leading up to and after the Season Two premiere on March 25.

"Teatime in the Regency Era was the epitome of elegance,” said Diageo's senior VP of rum, tequila and gin, Christina Choi, in a statement. “And with the second season of ‘Bridgerton’ on the horizon, I think it’s the perfect time to bring this grand tradition out of the sitting rooms, drawing rooms and garden gazebos of yore to give it a fresh, modern-day twist. ‘T-time’ is the perfect occasion to take a break from your day-to-day routine, adding a little bit of sparkle, scandal and surprise to your life by enjoying a delightful Tanqueray cocktail or two with your friends and loved ones.”
