Greek athletes live up to their powerful sports heritage in Nike's powerful new spot, created out of Wieden & Kennedy Amsterdam.
The ad opens with quiet but bold shots of the Olympic Stadium of Athens. The once majestic home of the 2004 summer Olympics here appears fallen by the wayside, with seats dusty and landscaping overgrown with weeds.
Amidst this barren setting, however, a new generation of athletes oi poised for greatness as they prep for this summer's games. Amongst them are Paralympian runner Michalis Seitis, pole vaulter Nikoleta Kyriakopulou and NBA star Giannis Antetokounmpo, aka the Greek Freak.
The campaign was created by Wieden & Kennedy Amsterdam for Nike Greece and aspires to show the Greek community how sports can help them improve their lives and take command of their own futures.
The ad was directed by W&K Amsterdam Art Director John Filipe and produced out of Stefi & Lynx Productions.
