On International Left-Handers Day this week (Monday, August 13), Oreos reached out to left-handed customers with a special packaging gesture.

The brand created a limited edition pack that opens on the right side of packaging, making it easier for lefties to open it than with the traditional opening on the left side. To publicize the campaign, it also sent its first batch to the 390 citizens of the town of Left Hand, West Virginia while others could order them for $3 at LeftHandedOreo.com.

The company released a statement saying: "Knowing that lefties are often overlooked in everyday activities, this is our way of celebrating them and helping to make their lives just a little sweeter. Left-handers will finally be able to open a pack of Oreo cookies their way--the "left" way!"

The cookies are sold out now--though some lefties poked fun at the idea saying they just simply turn the typical package around to open it.
