Historically, many doctors underestimated or brushed aside women’s health complaints as hypochondriasis or exaggeration. That left many women to fend for themselves when it came to their sexual and reproductive health, pain or chronic conditions, a disparity that persists to this day.

A new campaign for women’s health brand Love Wellness showcases the lengths women must go to when trying to administer “self care,” from ice packs on private parts to painfully explicit Google searches. Through it all, sufferers push through the pain.

Starring real customers of the brand, the spot intercuts alternative medicine like cupping with home remedies like honey masks, cling wrap shapewear—and much more drastic concoctions.

Fortunately, there’s another option—the monochromatic bottles of Love Wellness, with color-coded treatments for conditions like urinary tract infections and bloating as well as health maintenance formulations for sleep, mood, and metabolism. The spot from Mekanism and Epic Signal is directed by Renee Mao via Sister Studios.
