When you think of lawnmowers and you think of banner ads, "fun" is likely not the first thing to come to mind. But that's exactly what DigitalLbi Stockholm accomplished with this pair of banners, to promote power tools company Husqvarna.
The agency created a "Lawn Calculator" in one ad, which allows you to plug in your street address and estimate the size of the lawn you need to mow -- and then receive a recommendation for the right model of Husqvarna robotic mower for your home.
According to DigitasLBI ECD Paul Collins, the brand has one of the largest ranges of robotic mowers on the market, but "many Swedish consumers were having trouble deciding which one they should buy. We needed to make their choice easier, and more relevant."
The media placement was smart, too. "We also knew that many Swedish consumers purchase new lawn equipment in conjunction with purchasing a new home," said Mr. Collins. "So we placed our utility banner, the Lawn Calculator, on the largest real estate website in the country."
Additionally, the agency created this fun banner, which allows you to see the maneuverability of a robotic mower by scrolling.
