McDonald's U.K  is really hammering home the message that it sells carrots sticks in its holiday ad this year.

The spot by Leo Burnett builds on last year's commercial, in which a little girl saves her McDonald's carrot sticks for the reindeer. This time, Santa is left to worry about his hungry transport team. While children from all over keep him stuffed with cookies, it seems the reindeer are forgotten. But St. Nick has a brilliant idea--under the Golden Arches, he stocks up on the orange vegetable (presumably no supermarkets on greengrocers were available).

To go with the ad, again directed by James Rouse via Outsider, McDonald's has rebranded its carrots as "Reindeer Treats" for the festive period It also created a digital experience on Snapchat for customers in its restaurants. The lens-based game transforms the player’s face into a reindeer and prompts them to catch as many falling carrots as possible, to be used as fuel for Father Christmas’ reindeer, determining how fast they fly through the sky.
