The Canadian Revenue Agency has a comparatively painless April 30 tax filing deadline, but Intuit Canada's SnapTax online tax preparation service has taken an understandably dim view of filing the old-fashioned way, having unleashed a paper monster that will hammer your cat, electrocute your fish and possibly burn your whole house down. That's pretty evil, but at least it's old-school analog evil, featuring the work of origami artist Joseph Wu, www.origami.as. Wu used to work at Tribal DDB, so he had an inside track on this job, notes Tribal AD Dan Strasser, but when the creatives checked Wu's website they were pleasantly amazed. "He has some of the craziest paper creatures we'd ever seen," says Strasser. These days, Wu is a full-time origami artist. "Basically, I work as a commercial illustrator with origami as my medium," he says. And he's cool, of course, with using his stock in trade to demonize his stock in trade. "It's hardly the first time I've done evil creatures," he points out. There are, in fact, plenty of them in the galleries on his site. "So, while I don't personally feel that paper is evil
