Sourcebooks : Put Me in the Story

Children can star in their own e-book thanks to a new iPad app from Chicago publisher Sourcebooks. The app, Put Me In the Story, takes existing stories from the publisher, such as "The Night Night Book," a rhyming board book, puts the child's picture in the story and personalizes it so that they appear. The app is free but comes with only one digital book; others will be available for purchase for $4.99. You can also get a printed version of the personalized story book for $29.99. While some companies have been printing personalized books for a while now (such as the UK's ItsYourStory), the e-book option gives the chance for the publisher to do it instantly, and add elements such as animation.
