If you're in New York (or 32 other Uber cities around the globe) today -- Friday July 19th -- you can order an ice cream truck to swing by between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. For $30 that will be charged directly to your account you will get 6 ice creams, Uber tanks and sunglasses-- no cash required. The company anticipated the great number of requests its commissioned trucks have gotten and issued a warning that not all demands would be met. Manhattanites and Brooklynites left wanting can claim a 50 percent discount at Steve's Ice Cream, though.
