“She was a classy dame, but she had odd ways of showing her affection, from leaving me out cold in the dark to stealing my heart ... and my stuff,” a narrator says, welcoming the viewer into Rihanna and A$AP Rocky’s noir-crime domestic-spectacle.

Driven by power, Rihanna stars in “Born to Steal: Yours, Mine, Ours,” a cautionary tale among partners where what’s yours is also mine—even through acts of theft. Embodying perfection and a timeless femme fatale look, Rihanna is a resourceful thief who gets what she desires while plotting against her unsuspecting partner, portrayed by IRL-beau A$AP Rocky.

The nearly two-minute black-and-white film premiered on Fenty Beauty’s YouTube channels on Wednesday, after Rihanna posted an 8mm-style montage video on her Instagram account.

For “Born to Steal: Yours, Mine, Ours,” Rihanna takes center stage as a confident and magnetic protagonist with an agenda of her own. Unbeknownst to her partner, the Barbadian artist is fascinated by Rocky’s possessions, including his clothing, which she secretly borrows from his closet and almost gets caught while doing so.

"Wait, did I hear something?” A$AP says, “Nah, there’s nothing.”

The narrator explains how women can stock up on a supply of their partner’s wardrobe, and instead of hoarding “boyfriend shirts,” Rihanna tries on and wears a sleek blazer out of the house, getting caught by paparazzi waiting outside, who flash their cameras as she exits.

The media, aka the trusty Good Times News, slams her as the “Blazer Bandit” and points out how stunned authorities were by her lack of remorse. The narrator, who seems to be a secondary voice for A$AP’s character, then expresses an ending to his lost Lux Balm, and both Rihanna and A$AP hydrate their lips on top of pancakes.

This is the couple’s second Lux Balm collaboration following January’s appearance of the rapper in a promotional video for the product, where he sang about it not being lip gloss but the “Lux Balm up in my palm, new collab with my baby mom.”

The piece follows A$AP Rocky’s recent Puma spot, which also had a noir vibe.

Rihanna launched Fenty Beauty in 2017. The brand name is a reference to her own—the pop star was born Robyn Rihanna Fenty.
