British Gas uses charming 3D animation to make consumers feel warm and friendly towards the brand, and to illustrate its commitment -- not just to keeping homes heated, but also to keeping them working properly.

"No place like home," created by CHI & Partners and directed by Lauren Indovina via Psyop, features a magpie, a squirrel, and a human family, each of which is seen returning to their homes and bedding down at the end of the day. The soundtrack is made up of soothing music and a softly-spoken narrator who intones, "Between the stars, and through the clouds, and over the fields we roam, but no matter where we drift, there's really no place like home."

The endline reads, "British Gas. Helping you look after your home."

The new spot is an evolution of British Gas's long-running "Planet Home" campaign, this time using more sophisticated animation and backed by sponsorship activity around primetime U.K. property shows including "Location, Location, Location," "Grand Designs" and "George Clarke's Amazing Spaces."
