A new spot promoting the U.K.'s National Lottery attempts to capture the magic of holding a winning ticket by imagining what would happen if it unexpectedly blew away.
In the ad, created by Adam&Eve/DDB, a man goes into the local newsagent store to check his lottery ticket only to find that he's won. He's just starting to celebrate when a gust of wind blows the ticket out of his hand. As he races after it, through an outdoor market, a football game, a tense showdown with a street cleaning vehicles and more, he's joined by more and more members of the community until it seems as if the whole town is joining forces to recapture the ticket. There are also cameos by the likes of England women's soccer star Ellen White and Paralympian Hannah Cockcroft (the spot will run on TV during the Women's Euro soccer tournament and the Commonwealth Games).
The fun-filled caper, was directed by The Bobbsey Twins at Homicide via Arts & Sciences. It aims to highlight how the National Lottery can make a difference not just to one winner, but to many people, via the funds it raises for good causes.
