Actor Jonathan Goldsmith, whom we last saw rocketing up to Mars in his swan song as Dos Equis' iconic spokesman The Most Interesting Man in the World, is tackling a new adventure perhaps even more challenging than outer space -- the publishing world.

Goldsmith has joined the editorial team of online magazine True.Ink, whose mission is to help its readers "live the story" by combining live and off-line experiences. His role will be "editor emeritus," and part of his charge includes starring in a series of shorts around the theme "True Mastery."

Clearly, the new films pull inspiration from the fictional life he led as TMIMITW. The first video, seen here, is called "Treasure the Dawn," and in it, we find Goldsmith in a familiar position narrating a curious scene that depicts him with a beautiful woman -- but this time, he's dropped the Latin accent. Upcoming episodes are titled "The Secret to Goldsmith's Shrimp-Laden Bloody Mary Recipe," "How to Defend a Handcrafted Sailboat From Caribbean Pirates" and "The Truth About Shamanism in Manila."

Besides performing on screen, he'll actually be writing too. His "True Mastery" column will also feature quirky lifestyle pieces, with topics such as snow-shoeing through ghost towns, life on a sailboat and more.

"As you can imagine, I've found my way back from Mars and have a slate of new adventures planned with my friends at True.Ink," said Mr. Goldsmith in a statement. "It was a great run we had with Most Interesting Man, but there's nothing more interesting than a project that's new, fresh and hands-on."

As part of the launch campaign, Goldsmith will also be raffling off a Vermont fishing trip on his own boat. The experience will cover travel, lodging, a martini tutorial and fresh catch feast from his raw fish expert friend "Big Bob."
