Trevor Noah and Roger Federer take the ‘ride of a lifetime’ for Swiss Tourism
Oscar winner Tom Hooper directed the comic short film, which promotes the country’s ‘Grand Train Tour of Switzerland’ rail packages

Editor's Pick
This week’s odd couple in Swiss Tourism advertising is Trevor Noah and Roger Federer, who meld their charms for a meta-comedy promoting the client’s “Grand Train Tour of Switzerland’ railway vacation packages.
Oscar winner Tom Hooper directed the almost four-minute video, which begins with Noah and Federer—who both happen to be half-South African and half-Swiss—debating whether tourism ads need to be funny. (If not, what is Trevor even doing there?)
Soon after, they board the wrong train, leaving the camera crew behind, and take a scenic—and yes, amusing—trip to the resort town of Interlaken.
Federer, the tennis champion, has done several longform Swiss Tourism ads before—one with Robert De Niro in 2021, and another with Anne Hathaway in 2022. This third film is the first to put the client’s Grand Train Tour of Switzerland (GTToS) packages in the forefront.
