Robinsons Ad Finally Gets the Happy Ending it Deserves, Thanks to Andy Murray
"Worth the wait, isn't it?"
Editor's Pick
Back in 2009, tennis player Andy Murray lost a tight semifinal to Andy Roddick, dashing Britain's hopes of getting a British player to actually win the tournament, on British soil.
That year, this Robinson's spot by BBH London and directed by Blink's Benito Montorio, which features people dreaming of a day when the London tournament would be won by a British player, was aired.Â
Fast forward to four years later, when Murray beat out Serbian Novak Djokovic in straight sets Sunday to win the trophy. To celebrate the moment, the soft-drinks brand modified this spot, giving it an ending fitting the momentous occasion, which comes after 77 long years of the country not getting to celebrate a male British champion.Â
