Ikea is great at cheeky, topical social posts, and this time it's the World Cup that's on its radar.
The insight is that, amongst all the World Cup fever, there are those who aren't interested in watching the soccer. Or perhaps they support a different team to their friends.
To that end, it's tweeting two of its "flexible" sofa arrangements. One, for families where not everyone wants to watch the game, is a "Delaktig" sofar seats facing forwards and backwards. The other, the "Vallentuna," is a three seat modular sofa, where your friend can sit separately if they back the "wrong" team.
Sweden's Akestam Holst is the agency responsible. (So presumably any Germans at the agency can take the solo seat for the Germany vs Sweden game on Saturday night.)
