Samuel Bayer - Ad Age

Award-winning director, DOP, artist and photographer Samuel Bayer joins Great Guns. Bayer launched his career with the iconic music video for Nirvana’s ‘Smells Like Teen Spirit’. He’s since showcased landmark visuals in promos for David Bowie, The Rolling Stones and Green Day. It wasn’t long before the advertising world came calling. Soon, he had won countless awards for his commercial work, including Nike’s ‘If You Let Me Play’ and Chrysler’s ‘Born of Fire’. His photography show was exhibited at the Ace Gallery in LA and a selection of his films are in the permanent collection at the MoMA in New York. Bayer’s recent projects include The Avett Brothers’ ‘This Land is Your Land’ music video and ‘Guardians’ for Sean Penn’s non-profit Core.
