Microsoft Super Bowl 2020 Commercial Be The One Katie Sowers Women are front-and-center in Microsoft’s latest Super Bowl ad, with the tech giant bringing an uplifting message to market its Surface line of tablets.The McCann-created spot stars Katie Sowers, an assistant coach for the San Francisco 49ers who became the first woman to ever coach in the Super Bowl this year. In the 60-second ad, which ran in the fourth quarter, the pioneering Sowers talks about her aspirations to be involved in football as a child, despite never seeing a female coach on the field.“I want anyone who sees my story, not just women, to know that anything is possible if you truly believe it and work for it,” Sowers said in a statement. “Your gender, your sexual orientation, your skin color—those are all just a part of what makes you who you are—those things should never limit how far you can go in this world.”The ad was directed by Peter Berg, who has a long history with Super Bowl advertising.
