Sprint-Nextel: Couch

Sprint-Nextel: Couch Aside from its two ads (see also"Locker Room"), as the official wireless sponsor of Super Bowl XL, Sprint made all of the commercials from the big game available for viewing the day after the broadcast through its mobile TV service, Sprint TV. The company was also the sponsor of the 2006 halftime show, which was headlined by the Rolling Stones -- a bit of a contrast with the punchline sequence of "Couch," whose soundtrack comes from the also-British but otherwise un-Stones-in-every-way "Benny Hill."Sprint's Super Bowl ads date back to 1990's"A New World,"which channeled Czechoslovakia's Velvet Revolution. It followed "Locker Room" and "Couch" with 2007's pharma-marketing parody"Connectile Dysfunction."Director: Bryan Buckley, who directed "Locker Room" and a bevy of other Super Bowl spots including FedEx's"Desert Island,"Monster.com's"When I Grow Up,"TurboTax's"Love Hurts,"SodaStream's"Saving the World,"CareerBuilder.com's"Monkeys"and Burger King's"America's Favorite."Production company: Hungry Man.Creative director: Gerry Graf.
