WeatherTech used one of its two Super Bowl LIII spots to promote its new line of pet products.
WeatherTech founder David MacNeil ventured into the pet products space after losing three of his dogs to cancer. MacNeil believes toxic materials in pet bowls contributed to their deaths, which was the catalyst for him to create the PetComfort feeding system.
The 45-second ad, created by Florida creative shop Pinnacle Advertising, featured MacNeil’s golden retriever Scout.
The Illinois-based company released another, shorter ad later in the game; also from Pinnacle, that spot promoted one of WeatherTech’s classic in-car products.
