Boost Mobile names WorkInProgress its creative agency of record

Pre-paid wireless brand Boost Mobile has named WorkInProgress as its creative agency of record. WorkInProgess was awarded the business without a competitive review, an agency spokesperson said. The Boulder, Colorado-based agency was recommended through its partnership with another EchoStar Corp. brand, Sling TV, for which it has been the lead creative agency since June 2023. Boost Mobile shelled out $130 million in U.S. measured media last year, according to Vivvix, which includes paid social data from Pathmatics, a slight decline from $132 million in 2022. The company is owned by Englewood, Colorado-based EchoStar Corp., which also houses brands such as Dish TV, Boost Infinite and Hughes. Highdive had previously worked with Boost Mobile on a project basis, according to a spokesperson for the agency. The Chicago shop’s work included “Step Up to Boost,” a campaign (video below) that aimed to show how Boost Mobile can be a catalyst for a higher quality of life. WorkInProgress’ latest work for Sling TV, “Spit Take,” was designed to attract news subscribers to its $40 monthly news program offering. The agency is set to debut a new brand campaign in July.
