Hill Holliday has named a new chief creative officer. Peter Nicholson will fill the position previously held by Icaro Doria, who left the agency in June to help lead the resurrection of DDB Worldwide’s storied Brazilian shop DM9.
Nicholson most recently served as the first chief creative officer of Minneapolis agency Periscope, a position he held for five years before departing in May 2021. Periscope, which Quad acquired in 2018, appointed Mike Caguin as its new chief creative officer in January.
Prior to his time at Periscope, Nicholson served as executive creative director for McKinney New York, where he worked on clients including Crocs, Mentos and Samsung USA. Nicholson also served as chief creative officer at J. Walter Thompson, Deutsch New York and Publicis New York.
