What is the Young Creatives Contest?
The Ad Age Young Creatives Contest recognizes up-and-coming creative stars from all corners of the globe and celebrates them at one of the biggest events for the industry—the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity.
Ad Age has hosted the Young Creatives Contest for more than 10 years, honoring talent from the Philippines, India, Portugal, the U.S., Vietnam and beyond. For the 2023 and 2024 contests, Ad Age has teamed up with TikTok to turn what was previously a cover competition into a video contest.
Who is eligible?
The contest is free and open to students, full-time agency creatives and freelance creatives who are aged 30 or under on June 17, 2024. You can live and work anywhere in the world, but your entry must be in English and you must be 30 or younger on June 17 to qualify.
What’s the brief for the 2024 Young Creatives Contest?
This year the brief for the contest is all about community—tell us a story about a community from the past year that has inspired or impacted your creativity, and how. What the judges from Ad Age and TikTok want to see is how you use the video format to creatively illustrate your story.
Is there a community you are a member of or have discovered that has helped you reimagine how you approach creativity? Is there a group inspiring you online and IRL? Has a passion, interest or moment inspired you to create or share with a community? You have a 90-second video to illustrate your answer to the brief, so get creative. In 2023 we saw entrants play with AI tools, make use of photos and sound and even experiment with animation.

When is the deadline?
