The campaign also features Japanese-inspired OOH ads with lines including “Lemon freeze it! Crush it! Squeeze it! Mix it! Minus 196 it!” and social films with singalong karaoke lyrics. Also read: -196 hits the US with Johannes Leonardo ads Adidas Originals: Grammy Award-winning Puerto Rican rapper Bad Bunny and Argentine soccer legend Lionel Messi teamed up with Adidas Originals for a footwear collection that includes cleats and Gazelle sneakers. In an artful video unveiling the collection, Bad Bunny and Messi read letters from fans. Arrae: Three new spots for female-focused wellness brand Arrae highlight, in unfiltered terms, the preparation women undergo before sexual encounters and other health events—and how the brand’s newest supplement simplifies the process. Red Tettemer O’Connell + Partners created the campaign. Bodyarmor: The sports drink brand announced a partnership with New York Knicks star Jalen Brunson through a new social media spot, part of a five-part series that uses vintage animation to tell stories about Brunson. Each video running through the season will include storybook-like aspects of his journey as an athlete, from childhood training to the big leagues. Curaleaf: Cannabis company Curaleaf launched a “Toke the Vote” campaign across dispensaries in Arizona, Florida and Illinois featuring three hybrid strains named after the presidential candidates. Kamala Kush, Donald OG and Space Jill will be available for purchase in dispensaries across these states (with more to follow). Curaleaf will provide weekly updates on which strain is leading, with the first to sell out being crowned the winner of the “Toke the Vote” polls. Fiverr: The freelance creative talent marketplace launched a mini-musical all about creating with AI. The theme, “Nobody Cares About AI,” emphasizes that no one will bat an eye about how your creative work is made—as long as it works. The video features cameos from Ross Pomerantz, aka Corporate Bro, and Fiverr CEO Micha Kaufman. Greencard Pictures x Walrus: The production company and creative agency worked with filmmaker Andrew Jarecki on a series of darkly comic videos supporting Harris for president—and questioning a potential future under Trump. The campaign is rolling out across TikTok and Instagram with support from NowThis. The video below, directed by Zac Stuart-Pontier, features an animated talking birth control pill fearful of being taken away by the authorities. KFC x Hatch: Sleep brand Hatch partnered with KFC around the idea that the sound of frying chicken is almost identical to the sleep-inducing sound of rain falling. The collab includes the mini-doc below, as well as “Kentucky Fried Chicken Rain Sounds” audio, available on YouTube, Spotify and Hatch’s Restore 2 smart sleep devices (with a Hatch+ premium content subscription). The partnership will also include co-branded merch. Lexus and Starbucks: It took Hollywood a couple of decades to make a movie version of the hit Broadway musical “Wicked,” which premiered in 2003. But brands did not waste any time jumping on the theatrical release, set for Nov. 22. Lexus unveiled a campaign around the film, called “Experience OZmazing.” The spot (below) integrates its 2024 Lexus TX with footage from the movie, which stars Cynthia Erivo as Elphaba and Ariana Grande as Glinda. Produced by Universal Pictures, the ad includes the song “Defying Gravity,” sung by Erivo and Grande in the movie. Meanwhile, Starbucks this week begins selling two limited-time drinks named for the two witches at the center of the film—Glinda’s Pink Potion and Elphaba’s Cold Brew. The Hollywood Reporter is keeping a running list of “Wicked” collabs, which range from Crocs to Rebecca Minkoff handbags. McDonald’s U.K.: The fast food chain is tracing the family lineage of its new Mini Hash Browns to the McDonald’s breakfast Hash Brown in a cheeky out-of-home and video campaign. Nike: The sportswear giant celebrated the New York Liberty’s first WNBA title with a video from Wieden+Kennedy set to Frank Sinatra’s “New York, New York,” showing the Statue of Liberty sporting a championship ring. View this post on Instagram A post shared by Nike (@nike) Saudi Tourism: Saudi Arabia is inviting tourists to visit Riyadh, Jeddah, AlUla and the Red Sea in a cinematic spot titled “This Land is Calling.” The spot follows the launch of its “Where Winter Lights Up” campaign running from now until March 2025. It includes over 1,000 events, including a Harry Potter Experience, major boxing and football matches, Formula 1 Saudi Arabian Grand Prix and the Dakar Rally. Speak Your Vote: This nonpartisan youth voter initiative, launched by David&Goliath to amplify the voices of Gen Z and millennial voters, released a spot with spoken word artist Keys exploring the history of the right to vote and the importance of making informed decisions. The larger campaign, launched with the Civic Wisdom Foundation, features creators from all walks of life—from Grammy-winning artists to the Bowery Poetry Club in New York to production companies and influencers across the country. The goal is to register 50,000 new voters in key states before registration deadlines. Sustainable Coastlines: Indie agency Augusto and New Zealand wildlife artist Erin Forsyth teamed up for a parody of nature posters—illustrating the top 21 “species” of trash in New Zealand’s waters. U by Kotex: The feminine care brand, which is on a mission to normalize periods, is launching MaxiMalism jeans, a pair of denim jeans with a translucent pocket designed to show off—not hide—pads. Developed with Mischief @ No Fixed Address, the MaxiMalism jeans will be available while supplies last online. Actress Haley Lu Richardson is also helping promote the jeans. Urban Outfitters: The retailer has partnered with multi-platinum artist Tinashe to launch a dance-inspired collection in 2025. Co-designed by Tinashe and developed with Urban Outfitter’s in-house design team, the collection aims to celebrate dance as a universal language and a form of self-expression. WestJet: The airline’s new brand identity, platform and tagline, “Where your story takes off,” launches with six TV spots and over 45 different out-of-home ads from Rethink.
