Apple, CeraVe and State Farm among 2024 Emmy nominees for best commercial

Three comic, celebrity-driven ads—and one standup-themed spot that’s no laughing matter—are among the six nominees for this year’s Emmy Award for Outstanding Commercial. The list includes CeraVe’s “Michael CeraVe” starring Michael Cera, Uber One’s “Best Friends” with Robert De Niro and Asa Butterfield, and State Farm’s “Like a Good Neighbaaa” featuring Arnold Schwarzenegger. The CeraVe and State Farm spots both aired during the Super Bowl in February. And perennial contender Apple placed two spots on the list: “Album Cover,” featuring bickering bandmates using the iPhone 15 to design cover art, and “Fuzzy Feelings,” the marketer’s 2023 holiday film. This is Apple’s fourth straight year having multiple spots among the nominees. It won last year for its accessibility spot “The Greatest.” See all six 2024 nominees below.
