Now in stores
Skims: On May 16, Kim Kardashian’s shapewear brand opened a pop-up shop in New York City’s Rockefeller Center. It’s not the trendiest retail location in Manhattan, but it is a touristy one—and Skims isn’t the first DTC brand to take advantage of that. Hill House Home, for instance, opened a permanent retail location there in December.
LolaVie: Clearly, Ulta shoppers are the kind of people who would have gotten “The Rachel” haircut back when “Friends” was on. Jennifer Anniston’s hair care brand LolaVie recently rolled out in the beauty retailer, making Ulta the first wholesale and brick-and-mortar store the company has entered.
Jones Road: Everyone is headed to the Hamptons this summer—even Bobbi Brown’s DTC makeup and beauty brand, Jones Road, which opened its third retail location, in East Hampton, last week.
