BRITNEY SPEARS TO SING 'JOY OF PEPSI' ON YAHOO!

As part of its relationship with Yahoo!, Pepsi-Cola Co. is breaking a new commercial starring Britney Spears singing the "Joy of Pepsi" on Yahoo! three hours before the spot will debut during the Academy Awards broadcast March 25. The ad also may feature former Sen. Bob Dole watching Ms. Spears' performance. Starting March 19, Yahoo! users can preview snippets from the commercial, created by Omnicom Group's BBDO Worldwide, New York, and enter a sweepstakes to win part of the pop star's props and wardrobe used in the spot. Yahoo! will spotlight the Pepsi event by filling its home page with all Pepsi ads, using the new skyscraper and click-within ad formats. Copyright March 2001, Crain Communications Inc.
