Arts & Sciences tied much of its 2022 work to cultural conversations and social responsibility.
Arts & Sciences thrived on purpose-driven work in 2022
One example is a spot for Geico inspired by growing discourse around burnout and mental health. “Zen Zach,” directed by Mike Warzin, showed the transformative power of having a switch-off activity—literally. The overworked suit sprouts a flowing blond mane and shows off his slowed heart rate when ignoring work calls for the open road.
Another example was for Posten, the Norwegian mail service, which focused on celebrating the holidays with sustainability in mind. The brand, which has built a reputation with its provocative Santa Claus spots, and director Sean Meehan depicted a troubled marriage between Mother Earth and Father Christmas caused by the excesses of the holiday season. The spot concludes with a call to action for companies in the country to commit to sustainable practices.
