Imperial Woodpecker’s advertising took viewers to new worlds
Director Sam Brown helmed spots for Meta and Instacart that transported viewers to astoundingly rendered fantasy worlds.
Meta’s holiday spot for its Quest VR headset showed individuals waking up on Christmas morning to otherworldly wonders, including a horde of zombies, gargantuan spacecrafts and a full football game taking place in the living room. And for Instacart, the director spun gorgeous worlds around music superstar Lizzo, like a product-filled wonderland.
The production company brought its cinematic eye to real-life beauty as well. For Amazon, director Lisa Gunning celebrated the company’s all-women delivery stations in India. The spot gorgeously captured the power of the deliverers as vital members of their communities.
