What brands have been honored previously?
Looking back on previous honorees, it was clear what was in vogue that year. In 2019, many direct-to-consumer brands, including Everlane, Glossier, Rothy’s and Billie, made the list. So did Baby Shark, the earworm of parents ’round the globe. Then the brands featured in 2020, including Drizly, Clorox and Crocs, reflected coronavirus pandemic-era trends. While some brands, such as TikTok, saw continued success, others had buzz that was short-lived, such as John Krasinski’s “Some Good News” show. Brands on the 2022 list included Shein, GasBuddy, the Sandbox and Hoka.
What’s the scoop on this year’s list?
The 2023 list of America’s Hottest Brands features a singer who is poised to hit a record $1 billion in sales for her current concert tour. It also includes a brand that is reviving a tired grocery store staple with whimsy and fresh marketing, a cookie chain that hosts weekly flavor drops and a summer movie that has spawned over 100 brand collaborations. Brands hail from a variety of categories such as wellness, fashion, restaurants and skincare. And, unsurprisingly, there’s also a big name in AI.
