There must be something in the air at Exverus Media. For the second consecutive year, a stellar media planner from the California shop has taken home the Ad Age Small Agency Media Planner of the Year award. 

Georgia Schreiner joined Exverus Media in 2021 looking for the challenge of working in a data-driven, digital-first space, and she thrived. Schreiner took her foundation in media buying from Havas Media Group in Chicago and leveled up to media planning. Within a year, she had been promoted to associate media director.

Schreiner took on the agency’s Kum & Go account with the challenge of distinguishing the Midwestern convenience store chain from its competitors’ inferior gas station food. Schreiner and her team integrated out-of-home billboards, linear TV, CTV, geo-targeted social media ads, radio spots and app-based deals. 

The results were swift. The strategy doubled store visits in the first month of the campaign. Sales averaged 157% higher in the first 10 weeks of the campaign compared to the 10 weeks prior, and promotions around the store’s app increased mobile fuel pay by 17%.

Schreiner regularly uses market research in her planning to understand the human behavior behind the data and metrics, and that’s how she consistently exceeds her clients’ expectations.

Schreiner was also an integral part of pitching and winning the agency’s new largest client, New Belgium Brewing Co.’s Bell’s Brewing, at the end of 2022. She will lead the media strategy to develop the personality of each product for the brand.
