When teams at Deep Focus are confronted with an impossible task, they turn to Melissa Brown.

The agency’s executive producer has proven time and again that when complicated approval processes and red tape cause endless production challenges and delays, she is efficient and effective at getting things done.

During her tenure, Brown has built a content studio that produced hundreds of pieces of social media content every month for Bravo, leading the brand to win a 2024 Webby Award.

She is also credited with helping Deep Focus edit all 86 episodes of HBO’s “The Sopranos” into 25-second TikToks in just six weeks with a holiday break in between. The work led to a Shorty nomination. 

For Aruba Tourism, Brown helped assemble a production, directed by Klaus Obermeyer and seamlessly integrated with a local crew, for a campaign to frame Aruba as a luxury destination whose ambiance differentiates it from competitors.

Part of the campaign included offering visitors free permanent tattoos to demonstrate the permanence of Aruba’s qualities, with Brown capturing their reactions.

As a result of the campaign, site visits increased by 61%, and tourism to Aruba surpassed pre-pandemic levels.

Rather than a one-size-fits-all approach, Brown approaches every project with outside-the-box ideas and problem-solves on the fly, drawing from her extensive freelance career working at traditional agencies and small creative shops.

Brown boasts more than 15 years of experience producing media including broadcast, digital, social, radio, print and short films.
