Watch DoorDash’s Super Bowl ad with Nate Bargatze

DoorDash is using its Super Bowl spot to highlight DashPass, the platform’s membership service, with help from comedian Nate Bargatze. Bargatze, however, points to how much he has saved with DashPass, which gives members unlimited deliveries with a $0 delivery fee on orders over $12. He uses the savings to clone himself, hire an opera singer and buy a Fabergé egg, a giant disco ball and a jetpack. The 30-second spot, from Superette and Wieden+Kennedy Portland, will air in the third quarter of the Super Bowl. In the lead-up to the Super Bowl ad, DoorDash partnered with Sam James, who has been credited with starting the “girl math” TikTok trend. Last year’s Titanium Grand Prix-winning DoorDash ad involved a contest in which it gave away something from every Super Bowl ad, from mayonnaise to cars. Delivery competitor Uber Eats is also running an ad this year that points to all the ways that football is meant to sell food. Instacart is also in the game. DoorDash isn’t the only brand to tap into the “girl math” trend. In 2023, Pizza Hut partnered with TikToker Anna Sitar for the chain’s $7 Deal Lover campaign, which let customers order two or more of 17 dishes for $7 each.
