Nerds to run first Super Bowl ad

Nerds is running its first Super Bowl commercial, as the Ferrara-owned candy brand seeks to gain notice on advertising’s biggest stage as it enjoys sales momentum. The 30-second spot will run in the second quarter of the Feb. 11 game on CBS, a brand representative confirmed to Ad Age. The ad will also run on Nickelodeon's kid-friendly broadcast of the game, a seemingly valuable audience for a candy brand such as Nerds.
