80th Anniversary Site

Editor's Pick

Lacoste is continuing its celebrations of 80 years of its iconic polo shirt with a new anniversary website. Created by BETC Digital, the site includes a clickable timeline showing the polo's different manifestations from 1933 onwards, posed by models Karlie Kloss and Clement Chabernaud and photographed by David Sims.

The site also includes four polo-based games, in which you can act like a superhero in the 50s, be"zen" in the 1960s with a kaleidoscope of psychedelic polo shirts, rearrange the rainbow stack of polo from the 1970s or find the solution to the Rubiks Cube of polo shirts in the 80s. There's also an animated YouTube film showing the shirt throughout the different decades. There will also be a print campaign through BETC Luxe.

Late last year, the brand launched this film also celebrating its 80th birthday and showing a futuristic new shirt with dynamic fibers, along with a sitewhere consumers could create their own version of the polo shirt of the future.
