The Most Moving Set of Stock Footage You'll Ever See
Getty follows up last year's 'From Love to Bingo' with '85 Seconds'
Editor's Pick
When Getty Images and AlmapBBDO produced "From Love to Bingo," last year, a video that stitched together 873 images to tell a love story, we thought we'd seen the most creative use of stock photography ever. Then, Keith Schofield directed the amazing "You Can't Be My Girl" video, that used stock footage. And now, AlmapBBDO returns with "85 Seconds," to tell the story of a couple who meet as kids, separate, and then reunite as adults.
The spot uses 105 seemingly disparate videos from Getty Images' video library, and was directed by Joao Simi and Marcos Kotlhar. Kotlhar was also the art director on the project. Along with copywriter Sophie Schoenburg, who worked with him on "From Love," he worked on the project for four months, and reviewed over 4,000 clips. The end of the film shows the length of all the Getty videos in the company's bank: 63,103,983 seconds -- two years.
