Editor's Pick

At the start of this delightful and funny Australia Day ad from Meat & Livestock Australia, famous newsreader Lee Lin Chin recalls a freezing winter in Warsaw in 1996 when she couldn't even grill a lamb chop. "That was no way to spend Australia Day," the suitably formidable Chin reflects, and next we see her heading up "Operation Boomerang," a military-style operation to recall all Australian expats so they can enjoy a nice lamb BBQ.

Notable Aussies such as rugby player Stephen Moore and cricketer Mitchell Johnson are among those airlifted from their present locations, which include reclining by the pool in Bali. We also meet a hipster-bearded Aussie in Brooklyn who's become a vegan (much to his rescuers' horror) and someone who may or may not be Crown Princess Mary of Denmark (born Mary Donaldson in Tasmania).

The Monkeys created the ad, which ends with the tagline "You never lamb alone on Australia Day." The director is Lachlan Dickie of Rabbit.
