Bad home internet is like a head full of hornets in Xfinity's humorous campaign
The Comcast-owned brand is also launching a playlist of frustrated screams for Halloween
Editor's Pick
A new campaign from Xfinity, the Comcast internet provider, aims to depict that putting up with bad home internet is unacceptable. To do that, it shows some other long-suffering people putting up with unacceptable afflictions: like living with a hornet's nest on your head, or a bear trap clamped around your leg.
The comedic ads, by Goodby Silverstein & Partners, were directed by Spencer Riviera of O Positive Films.
In addition to the spots, in time for Halloween, the agency and brand also created a companion audio campaign: a haunted-house-inspired playlist composed of "the frustrated screams of people who know what it’s like not to have home internet." It's available to stream on SoundCloud and YouTube for Halloween parties and trick-or-treat parades.
