This delightful PSA by Mother New York for Reading is Fundamental is a joy for book lovers. "Book People Unite," directed by Rafael Fernandez of Green Dot Films, stars book characters including Curious George, Pinocchio, Clifford and Madeleine, all singing along to an original track produced by The Roots and backed by an all-star lineup of vocalists including Jack Black, Chris Martin, John Legend and Jim James.
Jason Schwartzman and Portlandia's Carrie Brownstein also lend their voices to this wonderful spot, while LeVar Burton, known for his roles as Kunta Kinte on Roots, Geordie LaForge on Star Trek, but perhaps most importantly--the host of Reading Rainbow, also makes a key cameo.
Jim Henson's Creature Shop made special puppets for the film, and animated characters were created by Curious Pictures.
