Burger King offers Harry and Meghan one of its 'crowns'
Campaign from Argentina is piggybacking on 'Megxit'
Editor's Pick
As the furor over 'Megxit' continues, Burger King Argentina is piggybacking on the royal crisis with a social post offering Prince Harry and his wife Meghan a job, and one of its "crowns."
The campaign, by agency Hoy, appeared on Instagram as well as in Argentinean national newspaper Clarin, and takes the form of a letter opening: "Dear Dukes, if you are looking for a job, we have a new crown for you."
It goes on to invite the royal couple to "do as thousands of people and take the first steps in the workforce with us."
BK isn't the first brand to get in there and offer the Royal couple jobs: last week U.S. game-themed restaurant chain Main Event did the same, offering them roles as "Royal Patrons of Fun," and Twitter has been full of memes, gifs and more speculating on what jobs the pair might do in future (including Meghan playing herself in "The Crown").
We're also not sure addressing them as "dukes" is going to tempt Meghan and Harry—if anything, it's Duke and Duchess—and anyway, it seems Meghan has a lucrative possible career doing Disney voiceovers.
