Now that Italy has been coming out of total lockdown and citizens are able to venture out into the public, Burger King is re-tooling the Whopper to ensure that people continue to remain safely distanced from each other—by stuffing it with onions.
With Wunderman Thompson Italia, the brand has introduced “The Social Distancing Whopper,” packed with triple the normal amount of the pungent vegetable as a way to create a force field of stink around the eater—though we worry about what impact this will have on people wearing masks.
The burger is available in all Italian BK restaurants via drive-though, take-away and eat-in.
