Pet owners, if you've ever wondered what your cat was thinking, now's the time to find out. Mars Temptations has created a "talking cat collar" to help process meows into human speech.

The pet food brand worked with agency Adam&Eve/DDB and production house Acne on the "Catterbox" project, which incorporates a microphone, speaker, Bluetooth technology and Wi-Fi into the 3D printed collar. This allows cats' meows to be recorded, processed, and then "translated" into human speech.

The collar, which is coated in rubber lacquer and comes in four colors, connects with a smartphone app that allows cat owners to choose their cat's new human voice from a range of options. The prototype will launch in the U.S. and New Zealand on April 28.

The cat collar is the first product to come out of a new "Temptations Lab," developed by the brand in collaboration with Adam&Eve/DDB to develop projects that help owners spend more time with their cat.

"Cats are often perceived as quite hard to get to know, independent pets, so we set up the Temptations Lab to find innovative ways to inject even more fun into a cat and owner's relationship," said Richard Brim, Executive Creative Director at Adam&Eve/DDB in a statement.
