Citroen made gorgeous print illustrations for every year of its centenary

Project by Hoy Buenos Aires shows the milestones of each year as well as the cars

Citroen is celebrating its centenary this year, and to mark it, Buenos Aires agency Hoy has undertaken a huge project, creating a beautifully crafted print illustration for each of its 100 years. 

The digits of each year are depicted in illustrations showing not only the major historical milestones of that year, but also the Citroen models of the time. (They're not only prints but interactive—you can download them here and see them come alive.)

The campaign was also on view at the Autoclassical Exposition last weekend, where attendees could print and take away the illustration corresponding to the year of their birth. It will culminate with the publication of a book in which the most important year of each decade will come to life through Augmented Reality, via a specially developed app.
